HtA - TBP Chapter 1

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, there lived a 16 year old, violet haired, purple eyed girl named Angela Roth. Angela was a very a very sweet, caring girl but if you got her mad, it was like you had just signed your death wish. Her parents and her always seemed to have fights all the time for they never saw eye to eye.

One day Angela decided to run away because she was sick and tried of her parents fighting with her 24/7; They were punishing her left and right! Well, it seemed that way to her. Angela thought that is she left her parents would be be happy and wouldn't care, just as long as she was out of there hair, they would be better off; But in reality, they loved her and they would miss her greatly and worry about her safety all th time. That was one of the many reasons they yelled and punished her, they just wanted her to be safe and grow up to be a fine young lady and be happy; They just wanted to  protect her

The day Angela ran away is the day she stumbled upon a building called the Church of Blood. The people of the  church let her stay as long as she wanted. One day as the members of the building were trying to summon “evil” but, suddenly a red haired man appeared instead. Angela fell madly in love with the stranger and then later got married. Soon after the man turned out to be Trigon and then left her. Later on, Angela find out that she was pregnant and tried to kill herself by over taking medicine in a dark alley.

Suddenly a monk found her and brought her to Azarath where the people of the dimension took her in. Angela then decided to change her name to Arella as if to start over. Arella later found out that since she was still technically married to Trigon and that Azarath was under his control but, he didn't want to rule it, the throne and ruling rights went to Arella; Arella then became Queen and her soon to be born child was the heir the the throne.

Months later Ariella gave birth to a girl named Raven. Raven was then later crowned, “Princess of Azarath”.

Many years passed and Raven was trained by Azar to control her powers and emotions because of her stupid father; It was like a curse was placed upon her for her emotions were tied to her powers, meaning she would never truly be able to either be, really happy, or really angry. Always to be holding herself back... The monks had decided that until Raven could learn to have control over her powers and feelings, they would cloak Azarath under a special spell, that would make sure that the dimension would be able to hold together, despite the fact of how strong the powers got; But there was a limimt. If she was cantiosuly getting out of control, the spell would break. So the monks decided to, once again, cast another spell. But this time, on Raven. The monks decided to cast a spell that would allow Raven to feel her emotions, but only on Azararth; Meaning that if she ever left, the spell would not work at all.

But, the citizens of Azararth didn't care about raven's little “curse”. The people of Azarath loved Raven and treated her normal, despite the fact she was Trigon's daughter and half demon. Well, normal for a princess that is.

All seemed well for Princess Raven and Queen Arella until a girl by the name of Cornielle appeared. At first, Cornielle seemed okay but that was before she learned that Arella was Trigon' “wife” and Raven was his half demon daughter! Cornielle hated Trigon with a passion because of all the harm he created and for the fact that he conquered Azarath, her home. Before, all she wanted was Trigon dead but then her hatred grew to where she wanted anyone and anything to do with him destroyed; she wanted Raven and Arella to be killed! Strangely, Cornielle, she really didn't hate Arella all that much; Well, not as much as her hated Raven and her father. She wanted Raven dead and gone.

One day Cornielle challenged Raven and Arella for the crown; The rules were, if Cornielle won she would get the throne and that Raven would be banished from Azarath; And that she would not kill Arella. But if Raven and/or Arella won then Cornielle would be banished.

It was a tough battle; Despite the fact that the royals gave it everything they had neither were able to defeat her. The crown was then passed to Cornielle and she officially banished Raven from her home.

Soon after Raven's punishment, she traveled to a planet called Earth. There she made friends and together they formed a group called the Teen Titans to protect Jump City from evil and destruction.

In the beginning Raven tried not to socialize with anyone and tried to keep her past a secret but it it soon failed after Trigon came to Earth because he made Raven into the portal. The team was able to defeat him and they were so happy afterward. They were also happy that they knew of Raven's past. Little did they know her team didn't even know the half of Raven's whole past.
